Silence settled over the hall—not from uncertainty, but from anticipation.

One by one, eleven young chess warriors stepped forward, each carrying a story written not in words, but in strategy, discipline and unwavering resolve. Their destination had been set – the National Chess Championship this August in Nairobi, where Kenya’s finest young minds will meet across the country.

In a proud moment of recognition, Managing Director, Prof. Nang’ole, presented certificates to Kayla Machio, Kayla Obare, Mary Sybil, Trevor and Victor, representing the outstanding team that has qualified to compete on the national stage. Each certificate marked more than a victory—it reflected discipline, resilience, strategic thinking, and countless hours of dedication.

“Every handshake in Nairobi will begin another contest of intellect. Every clock that starts will mark another opportunity to rewrite expectations. Every move will carry the hopes of a school that believes greatness is built long before the audience begins to cheer.” the Managing Director said

Now, the chessboard expands from sixty-four squares to the national stage. As the certificates changed hands, they became more than awards. They became passports to a larger arena, where composure, imagination and fearless thinking will determine who rises above the rest.

The pieces are ready.

The board is set.
