Legacies Meet New Beginnings
The grounds of St. Anne’s Girls High School came alive with laughter, memories, and inspiration as alumni returned to St. Anne’s Group of Schools for this year’s Alumni Day. Former students from various graduating classes reunited with current learners, teachers, and school leaders in a day dedicated to mentorship, reflection, and celebration of the St. Anne’s legacy.
The event began with a warm welcome and campus tours that allowed alumni to see how the school has grown while remaining true to its founding values. Interactive mentorship sessions formed the highlight of the day, where graduates openly shared their journeys in medicine, teaching, business, engineering, and other professions.
Mr. Dan Lunani (Class of 2010), a banker and Chairperson of the Alumni Association of St. Anne’s Group of Schools Kiminini, encouraged the students: “Everything I am today started right here at St. Anne’s. The discipline, faith, and pursuit of excellence you are learning today will open doors you never imagined. Dream big and stay focused.”
Current learners, from Early Years through to Senior School, engaged enthusiastically, asking thoughtful questions about career paths, higher education, and life beyond the classroom. The atmosphere was filled with energy as students performed cultural dances and songs, showcasing the vibrant talent nurtured at the school.
Other highlights included a symbolic tree-planting activity representing growth and continuity, group photographs, and a shared meal that turned into lively storytelling sessions.
St. Anne’s Group of Schools, a co-educational Catholic institution in Kiminini Town, remains committed to delivering quality education rooted in Christian values and the Competency-Based Curriculum. Days like this reinforce the strong bond between past and present students and remind everyone of the school’s enduring impact.
